When a SNL parady seems all too real!

This has always been my favorite Saturday Night Live sketch because (1) it's funny and (2) the "little boy" reminds me of myself growing up - sad, isn't it?

It's all fun and games until you can relate to something you see on SNL!

This is my favorite sketch!! We have a harness for Scout when he starts walking, it's hysterical, it has a teddy bear on the back.

Hey Tara,

My favorite harness story is watching a mom and child who were tethered to each other in a check out lane.

The mom was busy reading a magazine and didn't realize her son was stretching out far as he could to reach a candy bar. Just as he was about to grab it, she gave a good tug on the leash.

He was so close! He had such defeat on his face that I nearly walked over and handed him the candy bar!

But I'm sure Scout would never do that behind your back!!

Thanks for stopping by,

W

If you put the leash on a child and enroll them in obedience class does it have the same effect as it does dogs?? Just wondering! I have a 15 month old I am ready to try anything with! :)

Wade, please don't put a harness on Tate!

Just a note to all harness users. While the teddy bear/puppy dog harnesses are super cute and funcion as a pretty fun backpack... beware all airport travelers of harness use. You see last time I checked it's not exactly fun to get your child to stand still long enough to put on the harness. And these days with security as it is, they make you take off the backpack style harness to go through security, totally defeating the purpose of keeping your child coralled. We found a cute elmo harness that is straps only for nathan and did not have to take it off through check-in as this mommy was all by herself with almost four carry ons. Thank goodness for elmo! Just a note of advice.

Hey Susan,

If you can't find the Elmo harness, Tate also likes the Dallas Cowboys and the Dallas Mavericks, too!

Ha!

Hey Keri,

I dunno - but it would be funny just to see the faces of the other people in the puppy training class when they look over and see you trying to perfect the sit command on your 15 month old!

Be sure to bring plenty of dog treats!!

Hey Shannon,

I don't think we'll need a harness. My concern is whether or not the helmet will be a big player - let's hope self-inflicted head injuries aren't hereditary!

Hey Laura,

Yeah, you defintely need to contain rambunctious offspring during TSA inspection. The last thing you want is the little squid causing an airport clearing breach of security!

Although, about 10 years from now, would make a great story!

Thanks all for stopping by,
