A Blog of Higher Learning

cash advance

According to an obviously well respected, highly accredited and critically acclaimed website, Wade's Rantings appears to be most appreciated by those who have earned at least a bachelor's degree.

Don't worry, I won't let this go to my head!

However, I am suddenly tempted to forward this post to a certain English teacher who once told me that I would have difficulty succeeding in college because of my 'poor writing skills' . . . but perhaps doing so would seem a bit too acrimonious!

Feel free to tell me how your blog is rated!

Elementary Level. I knew I should have pursued my degree in elementary ed. I clearly would have been perfect for the job.

I too was told I would not make it in college b/c of my lack of interest in school and poor study skills.......... WHO KNEW!
Look at me now!

I'm at the junior high level. I like to think that this is because I tend to write certain phrases exactly as Jackson says them; however, it is much more likely that I truly am stuck at the junior high phase. My husband said as much to me yesterday when I chatted on the phone with a friend who lives less than 1/4 of a mile from my house for two hours. I don't know what it says about him that he conveyed this message via text message.

If I am correct, the same high school teacher who criticized your writing skills also told me that I really needed to take the AP English exam when I didn't want to because I was a good writer. I will say that taking that test did allow me to skip my first two semesters of English at ACU, but perhaps her evaluation of writing skills was a bit off?

Congrats:

I checked my theology blog rankings:

satire and theology: College (Undergrad)

thekingpin68: College (Postgrad)

I suppose this means that the blogs are what I want them to be, in a sense.

Cheers!

Hey again, Wade

From testing the ranking site with some of my blog links, it is not surprisingly that the rankings are a bit suspect. I found two sites that have many technical sounding articles in the links, not all from the blog owner, which would boost the ranking from what it would be from articles presented.

Hey Audra,

Or you could be the school nurse, too - at least then you could stay in your profession without having to insert anymore catheters!

Hey Cas,

The honorary diploma extends to C as well!

Hey Janell,

BS worthy, huh?

So finally the truth comes out! Why don't you tell us how you REALLY feel? :)

Hey Kate,

I'm sure we're thinking of the same teacher. She always pushed her favorites into AP courses and didn't even bother to give the intellectually deprived, such as myself, the time of day.

Hey Russ,

A bit suspect is a bit right! I too threw a few other blogs and got some surprising results. I kept re-entering mine to see if I could pull up a better rating but kept getting 'undergrad'.

At least it appears to be consistent in its shoddy evaluations!

Thanks all for stopping by,

W

Well, get this...

thekingpin68 with last seven articles shown on main page (Post Grad) as stated in a previous comment.

thekingpin68 showing all blog articles in archives (High School) lol.

thekingpin68 MPhil dissertation on the problem of evil (High School);)

thekingpin68 with every other random individual article I tested and some on satire and theology (Genius)

Something is fishy.

Please have a great weekend with the family, Wade.:)

mine is high school level :) Hmmmm. What is that about??

I have no clue why mine is rated "Genius." Maybe it's because I use high-falutin' words like--um, I don't know--high-falutin'?

If you want to know if the rankings are suspect, just take a gander at my blog! Fishy, indeed!
